De La Seugne - Reservar uma mesa

Tucked away at the back of the rather dull looking Hotel de l'Ecu is this rather stylish restaurant. There is the usual mix'n'match set of menus but there were several attractive choices, which, when they arrived at the table, were even better than expected. The...menu had English translations of the dishes which is always helpful. The service is bright and friendly and the food is well cooked and nicely presented. Local wine is served as house wine by the glass or pichet as well as by the bottle and is very drinkable and modestly priced. Well worth seeking out, it gets a mention in Gault Millau.

Dommage, la carte affiche un menu à 22 ou 26 euros ....mais 9 plats sur 10 affichent aussi un supplément de 3 à 7 euros selon le plat choisi !!! Enfin il y a tellement de choix sur la carte que nous avons douté de la fraicheur des plats et nous avons été déçus par le manque de saveur...... bref pas mauvais mais moyen compte tenu du prix !

For a hotel restaurant the ambiance is very pleasant and the dining room nicely decorated. Staff are pleasant and attentive but not overly so. The dishes are nicely presented and offer reasonable portions. However, the food is rather bland and under seasoned in my opinion....There is a distinct lack of the wow factor.

It was Sunday for lunch.The restaurant was very busy with locals. The food is honest decent food.Service was good considering how crowded it was.

Lovely people and great food in a very smart restaurant. Lovely surprise. We will be going back very soon I hope.
