chair leg broken almost fell off same, unable to move chair out of way as room too small One of the beds middle latts were broken unable to sit on bed as mattress sunk in and nearly fell off that as well, although easier when laying down as mattress sank into hole. Drain left in shower tray was filthy. Manager informed said he would get someone to mend same next day, unable to move room we were told they were full. No one came to either clean or mend same so complained again to no avail. Meal out of the 6 sat at table 5 got their meat and potaotes no veg, asked several times so they ate same as it was almost cold then veg arrived virtually uncooked, my meal still not arrived.

I have been visiting this hotel annually for several years, and while the staff have always been wonderful, I have noticed a steady decline in quality over the years. This year, the food was truly inedible. I understand the hotel is closing for a period, and I suspect they were just trying to use up leftovers. This was unacceptable; we had paid for our meals and deserved something reasonable. The portion sizes were far too small to satisfy even a child, let alone the adults in our party. They even ran out of basic necessities like milk for the rooms and white sugar. Overall, it was a disappointing end to what has always been a lovely experience.

Wonderful meal out with friends, on arrival we were greeted by a sensational Christmas tree in the restaurant and beautiful decorations throughout. The log burner in the restaurant gave a wonderful ambience. We all had something different off the menu and all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I had the pork and black pudding bon bons to start followed by the macaroni cheese, both of these were wonderful, we all had deserts which were all home made and delightful. Will definitely be back soon,

The room was a little bit dated but warm and comfy. It was also very clean. Nice bath with great temperature water. 24hr bar downstairs aswell which is a plus, nice Geordie lad behind the bar. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5 Reserve uma mesa agora

Unfortunately, they are not open during the holidays, as Russian workers will be occupying the place for at least the rest of the year.
