"We visited this restaurant as part of an organised group prior to visiting the Musée de 24hr Le Mans. The food was excellent and the service was exception. The menu was set as part of the organised group."

Seen this place on TV during the race (and on Playstation during Gran Turismo) so many times that to finally visit during the race was something special. Phoned in January to book (if your French is not so good find a French speaker). Got there 2 hours early to experience the thrill of cars racing by 2 yards away at 220mph just before they brake for the first chicane. For a few euros they will open the upstairs room so you can stick your head out the window. Take ear defenders plugs.Took a taxi from the 24h museum. During the race the Mulsanne road has to be avoided by a northern loop. Taxi was I think 18 Euros. Then offered a lift to Mulsanne corner but could have phoned taxi back. Meal goo...

This restaurant is located at one of the public roads which is used by the 24hrs of Le Mans. In the old days the restaurant was the place where the drivers were coming together to celebrate and party after the 24hrs of Le Mans. Many pictures at the walls still remind to that time, We were here for lunch. I had a steak which was awesome. Crusty on the outside, medium/rear inside. Simply perfect. Great tasting vegetables aside. Creme Brûlée was one of the best Creme Brûlée's I have ever had. Great restaurant !
