Di Mare - Reservar uma mesa

My family and I were in Warwick for kids football tourists. We traveled up on Friday and decided to go before a busy weekend for a nice meal. What a nice treat! So it was confusing as place has 2 names: Dimare (what I think is for the seafood side) and Maddie (which I appreciate is for the restaurant/bar side), although both use the same space/place. We actually ate outside as they have some iron tables and chairs with parasols to watch the passing cars. So the good news is that they have full service bar with several special cocktails. The great news is that you can see for yourself all the great and fresh seafood they have to offer like the oysters in the seafood counter with which we star...

I rarely write reviews, but my experience was incredibly disappointing.... I cannot understand how this restaurant has 4 stars on OpenTable. I have serious doubts about all the reviews on OpenTable now. Firstly, it was colder outside than inside the restaurant. You could clearly see the fog from the chilly air being blown in from the 2 AC units and condensation from the vents dripping into the restaurant. It was not appetizing at all. The entire place was filthy. These two reasons should have been enough for us to leave, but my wife and I decided to give it a chance. The bread was stale, tasting like 2-day-old Walmart Italian bread, and served with a measly cup of vegetable oil for dipping....

Our first time at Maddie's Bar and Grill. We ordered the seared scallops for entrees and the clams casino for an appetizer, both were fantastic. Fresh and hot. I am not sure what vibe they are trying to achieve, but we did feel that the overall atmosphere didn't jive with the food quality/price. Our waitress was friendly, but again the tattooed arms didn't jive with the food/price, but did with the atmosphere.

This was my first time dining at this restaurant, and it exceeded my expectations based on the reviews I had read. The staff was friendly, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The prices were reasonable, making it a great place to enjoy a relaxing dinner with friends. I will definitely be returning in the future.

The food on the seafood platter was overly spicy. The mussels were in a sauce that was too sweet and the Caesar salad had way too much dressing on it. Our waitress was fine.
