We came late to Innsbruck to try to find a restaurant! Past a pizzeria square, but wanted to find something authentic Austrian! Another 300 meters on -Bingo! A beautiful old Bavarian and huge chalet style, wooden and stone bar building, which houses horses and their riders many years ago, turned into a large but cozy, modern and clean restaurant. It was well equipped with beautiful decor and ornaments, and the dishes looked expensive. We were sure we didn't get a table and the friendly owner initially said nothing available until 7.45! We came across this place because we stayed in a nearby hotel, went down the street that we blew in the window and thought it looked nice and seemed to do, so we went to dinner. It was delicious! The staff helped with the menu as there is no English, but it was easy to remember as there is no extensive menu. We enjoyed it so much that we went back in the second night and stayed for two hours drinking the local beer and wine, I had the same meal and we also tried Dessert! We feel happy to stumble on this place and recommend.

We stayed at Hotel Kapeller Inn and went to this restaurant as it was 5» meters away. We could not have better experience! The staff was very attentive, they gave a good recovery. They are specialized in Tyrolean cuisine and make their own brandy and gin. Would go back there. Beautiful terrace that was perfect in a hot evening. They also had good choices for children.

I enjoyed this restaurant so much during my trip in Innsbruck I had to come back a second night. The lovely couple Anton Monika Steixner made my experiences superb. They made sure I knew what to order because there wasn’t English menus and gave me a great recommendation on wine! It’s busy though, so you may need to reservation.

On foot from our hotel-staff we also accommodated without reservation. Food was good, staff a little overwhelmed. Ordnete spinach bone, without really knowing what it was -- certainly a filling bowl!
