Dimitri's On The Water

A little gem in the heart of the Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks. One might worry that Dimitri's would be a tourist trap like so many of the restaurants in this Greek village but that's not the case at all. The food was very authentic and house made Greek food, though there are plenty of other options. Several seafood and landlubber options are also available. The staff is mainly geek, accents and all so listen closely. We arrived early on a Saturday night and they were packed. Although they state all over their website that they take reservations, that only applies to parties of 6 or more. Authentic Greek food with amazing service and a gorgeous view! I lived here in Tarpon Springs years ago and have eaten at most of the places by the docks. This one has class and the staff are V like family. The lamb is so good that I I think I heard angels singing over my head. The Horta, (dandelion) is delicious too. Come here and skip the other touristy places.

Sitting out by the water, watching all the boats pass by, and enjoying Authentic Greek food at Dimitri's on a Saturday afternoon is where it's at! It's worth the drive from Dunedin to enjoy the Pastitso and Chicken Souvlaki Sandwiches!!! SO good.

The restaurant is on the water and has a beautiful outdoor patio. The staff is friendly and professional. The food is delicious, and there are so many options to choose in the menu!

The food and ambiance were perfect. Best seafood around and surprisingly large portions of everything. Love this place! Say thanks to the entire staff.
