Don Camillo Restaurant

Well, back to Don Camillo for a midweek fix of Italian, I have long held this place in high regard so the missus and I decided to introduce our two mature aged kids to this institution in Magnet Court, Dad and Son both had entrees, mine, the Mushroom Bruschetta was top notch and junior rated his Seafood chowder, special note about the drinks, Menabrea is on the beverages list and as a long time favourite Italian beer it was certainly given a fair tasting as was the Chianti !, Mains included Risottos, Raviolis and Marinaras, all rated well, there was decent coffee and Panna Cotta to finish The restaurant is warm and cozy and a good night was turned great when one of the kids picked up the...r...

carbonara is king on a whim I decided to take the family out for dinner (an excuse for a night off cooking) I decided on Don Camillo. When I entered the restaurant I didn't realise it was a fancy one. The decor was elegant cosy. I panicked about taking kids, but the staff were nice after a glass of wine I relaxed. We had garlic bread (yum, not greasy), pollo involtini (beautifully presented), vitello cotolette (good but salad was too salty to balance the cheese crumbed veal) kids had fettuccine alla carbonara (this was a hit with the kids this was the best dish of the night). It was thebest carbonara I've had in years.

we visited this restaurant after other zomato reviews for early dinner. it seems to be a very popular restaurant. almost all tables were full on Saturday night at 18:45. the caffe looks good and the personal was relatiw inviting and more attentive to end. they seemed a little distracted at the beginning. we had ravioli and mushroom risotto and both were great. I am not a big fan of ravioli, but this was well made with beautiful smooth texture and beautiful pumpkin taste. we are pleased that we have tried this restaurant during our visit in hobart.

excellent meals, we ordered the calves and pork. Tuscan kartoffels were great, beautiful wine selection and great service.
