Don Hall's Old Gas House Restaurant Bar

Excellent food and good service. We appeared on Friday at 530 and was surprised to get a table immediately! (usually there is a waiting period) We didn't have lunch, so sandwiches and the loaded Steak-Fritten appetizer went. My daughter had the Fried Icelandic Cod, and I had a Chicago Burger, we chose both box beans and baked Mac n cheese for pages. Everything was tasty, boiled properly, and the server has often checked us and kept our glasses full. We have desserts to go because we were too full to eat more, but not against their German chocolate cake or cheesecake.

The service we received was great! It was a slow night, but the waiter was very attentive and fast. The food is very expensive and tastes great. Especially interesting was the tater dead appetizer.

The food was great, the roasted cod and the coffee scorched steak. Only complaint is that I only saw the waitress twice. Once you order and get the check, as the kitchen staff put the food out.

Out for a motorcycle ride from toledo and found this on the Google maps. Was a nice addition to my trip for lunch. Will try to come back with wife and son.
