Dons Bakery - Reservar uma mesa

It seems that Don's is a Muskoka tradition for the cottagers in the area. My stepdaughter said she'd been "dreaming of Don's Chelsea buns" so off we went. The lineup was crazy but you take a number and it moves quickly. The young staff who work there are amazing - moving a mile a minute and always smiling and pleasant. While we were there buying Chelsea buns and much more, my brother and sister-in-law also dropped by on their way to the cottage looking for ... Chelsea buns! As there were many at the cottage, two lots of buns were quickly consumed. We also bought a key lime pie, blueberry, and raspberry pies. To me the raspberry was the absolute best! It's was clearly made from fresh berries...

this bakery meets the place with its zimtbunken and Chelsea bakes. I personally prefer the chelsea buns made with the zimtbrot teig, but with dried fruits and so sweet loaded so delicious! her service is friendly so no worry about annoying her with asking about ingredients. the skorn (which are like very soft sandwich bread) are also vegan friendly.

Would be the ulitimate trip for goodies in your whole trip to Muskoka. Order your bread at least a day ahead to make sure you get some. Take a number when you arrive as the place is always packed. Sticky buns, triangle fresh bread buns, lemon squares. Must try all. Key lime pie,,,,,must have, bring a cooler to transport it back to cottage.

very good cinnamon balls! they are in various shops around the city and the main bakery. they also have scones and some cakes are vegan. they also have chelsea rolls! everything is marked and the personal is about what is vegan (also have a menu in the main bakery listed with the vegan options). highly recommended!

Don's has fabulous cinnamon buns with or without raisins. So many things to choose from. The brownies are also excellent. You can call ahead and place an order for next day pickup. With a drive to Bala to see this historic location and the shops in Bala.
