We had lunch on Sunday, and while the food was excellent, the service was disappointing. We frequently had to ask for someone to clear our dishes and to bring us drinks. Our empty glasses remained on the table throughout the meal, even after we placed them at the edge for collection. It's a shame because the food was truly great. It seems like a manager's oversight might be necessary; there were plenty of staff members, but they seemed to lack direction and knowledge of customer service.
the food is excellent, well presented and for a change these days,seasonal. they Sunday roast is really good value, but make sure you book, it 's very popular. Finally, the chocolate brownie is to die for, best I have ever had. Harvey 's ales are on draft and the it a very good range of gins as well as a comprehensive wine list from house up to 'how much?!!
We had an absolutely fantastic family meal today with four adults and three children. The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming. The prices were extremely reasonable, and the portion sizes were great—none of our roasts were left uneaten! Additionally, the communication via messenger to organize the table was brilliant. Thank you!
