D'oh! Went here for the first time about a week ago for an early dinner, soon after opening. The pizza is OUTSTANDING. My partner got the mushroom pizza, adding sausage to it, and loved it. Something to know the base pizza may make a difference in whether and what kind of sauce you get, so definitely ask about that. If she'd ordered a sausage pizza and added mushrooms, it would've been a red sauce; the mushroom pizza is a white pizza and they added sausage to it. As for me, the closest thing to what I wanted was a margherita, but I asked for just a plain pizza. Much of my family has been going to Dough artisan pizzeria almost every week at the Caldwell location, followed by the opening of their fantastic new Passaic Avenue location in Fairfield. The menus always a delight as we look for interesting and inventive changes to salads, main courses, deserts, and wines. It's always fantastic to see what two salads are presented each evening, and all those variations are healthy and taste incredible. First, let me say that both Pamela and Ethan were stellar servers. Attentive and happy to offer a recommendation. I took Pamela's recommendation and ordered the Clam Pappardelle. Every bite kept me wanting more and more. A delicious sauce, and the corn is a welcome crunchy addition to this dish. Ethan recommended the blueberry key lime pie for dessert. It was scrumptious...tart from the lime, but the sweetness of the blueberry compote balanced it perfectly. And so refreshing, since we were sitting outside. Food was ok. We were actually surprised how blend the food was considering the high end ingredients and sofisticated flavor palet of their menu. On paper this meal was supposed to be an awesome culinary feast. In practice it was not really impressive compared to the expectation set by their menu and decor. The pizzas were not bad, but lacked the required spice and flavor balance to wake up the taste budds from their slumber. With that said, the polished decore and fantastic attentive service if the staff were notable. The atmosphere was great. No question about it! The food and the menu are very good here and I don't believe the pizza is their strong point even though the pizza is good it's not Tony d's or angelinos but close. The appetizers and salads are excellent, menu variety very nice, and drinks excellent. One of the most impressive things to me was the management was totally visable and live helping the wait staff. Great for families as we were 8, sat outside, and had a very nice experience. This has been many different restaurants and usually when a location changes so many times it's hard to revive no matter what but this might be the exception. Will return

I really liked this place when it was a cozy little spot on Bloomfield Avenue. The new location in Fairfield is nice looking, but less inviting feel. In the past I haven't had good experiences with their dessert, so I haven't tried it in a long time. The pizzas are good, however the last one I tried last summer was mushroom something or another and I remember it being a bit bland and asking for flaky salt on the side. When this place initially opened several years back in Caldwell, I remember the owner being super excited and into creating new dishes--no doubt a lot of love goes into this place. Try it.

Great new location! We have been to the one in Caldwell and the new location is much bigger and has a great patio although lots of bees out there so beware. The staff is very friendly when helpful. The food is fresh and cooked really well. Pizza is excellent and the zucchini crisps are a must as an appetizer. They have a great kids menu and take reservations. Highly recommend. Can't way to go back.

I live their food. Dough is more than just pizza. But we made reservations for outside and they didn't honor it. I picked going there bc of their outside ambiance. So obviously that upset me. But again, food is amazing Reserve uma mesa agora

We always get the meatball appetizer. Love them. Pizzas are very tasty. You can tell they're homemade. Make sure you make reservations especially in the weekends.
