I've been watching this place for a long time and was too lazy to get him. today was the day! online ordered for an extra 10% off over $25. 25 minutes later our food was ready to go. we did not ask for msg, but are hypersensitive to excessively salty things. this the bark sauce suppennudeln (as it is listed on the menu) was delicious. they gave a decent amount of noodles and suppe. I've been going here for years and up until recently, the food has been (past tense) good. I'm unsure what's going on and question whether there was a change in ownership but everything I ordered was off. Onion pancakes werent cook all the way. The soup for the beef stew noodle was almost like a clear water downed chicken stock. Dumplings were meh. Tofu noodle salad were old and mushy. Green beans had way too much salt and soy sauce. I go to south san francisco for @westcoastproofficial monthly event, so I like to look for food in the environment. I found this hidden gem of a traditional Shanghai style restaurant filled with teig, called empire dumplings. I love how they pulled freshly made hand noodles. the dumplings are also fresh. I ordered the six shanghal soup dumpling, four shanghal pan fried soup dumpling, green chives pancakes, pork and shrimp wonton with fresh noodles, and the lychee on ice for dessert. the offer soy sauce, vinegar and spicy chili to accommodate all dishes. Did I go to dumpling empire three times last week? Yes, yes I did. This is our go to spot for pre or post SFO drop offs/pickups, as well as a necessary stop whenever we go to South Bay by way of SF. I used to fly home to SF and no one would want to pick me up they told me to take BART! Since discovering dumpling empire, every driver in my family is willing to give me an airport ride and the whole family changed their plans to tag along. Anyways, the food. Food is delicious, but finding a spot to park was very difficult on a late sunday evening. Each dish ordered was around $9. My favorite between the tong hao (vegetable dish), salt and pepper pork, and spicy beef tendon was the spicy beef tendon. It doesn't say on the menu, but you can purchase white rice for $2/serving. There is indoor seating, but it's pretty limited and feels a bit cramped. I think it's worth it if you order takeout and make your own rice at home.

another great discovery on the grand avenue. dumping empire is not a frills restaurant that lets its food shine and lets the stage take along. while his name makers are probably the star of the show, the other players seem fresh, crispy sweet with deep sesame, garlic and ingwer aromen, just as bright. try the crispy lotus roots, fresh gurke w/ straw mushroom, garlic bok choy and green sliced pfancake.

he was taken out of this place and was pleasantly surprised by the beef rennet of this emptying business is torn out. it is rare to find bark beef as thin cut as they here (and for me, the thinner cut it is, the better) although it could have done with a little more taste. I'd just come back for the cattle keeping.

eating is great, but the service is missing. the place is small and when we are there, they just looked at us. they did not even welcome us. the tables were somewhat dirty and we were served with paperboard and utensil lol. Reserve uma mesa agora

Small place but great food. Construction made it a little hard to get to but worth it. The walk was nice.
