Although Dunkin' Donuts is now a national chain, its roots are decidedly in New England. Specifically Massachusetts. The first DD is still open and is very close to where I now live.There is a newer DD on the scene in Hingham which seems to be doing a brisk business especially given how close it is to the Hingham Ferry Terminal as well as the condos and apartments that have grown like mushrooms in that neighborhood.While I very rarely buy coffee to go but when I do buy a cup I prefer Dunkin' Donuts to Starbucks any day of the week.I was in this newest franchise recently to pick up some gift certificates for some friends who are die-hard DD fans.This place was clean and orderly and although I...
