The staff at this restaurant are very friendly. We stayed on August 6th as we were in town for the Thai festival with our friends who also stayed here. Our room did not have a fan, and it was a hot weekend, so I went to the bar to ask if there was a spare one. The bartender kindly gave me hers from behind the bar! We were worried about noise since our room was above the bar at the front of the property, but we did not hear a thing and had a great night's sleep. Room was spacious and facilities good for the price, though lights didn't work properly, but after pub closed a group of people stayed outside loudly talking until well gone 1am. Having windows closed didn't work and the room was so hot it was impossible to sleep in with shut windows anyway. I believe it may have been staff as again pub would have been closed to guests. Really inconsiderate either way. This was was a Tuesday not a Friday or Saturday night as well, so rating was primarily low due to poor sleep.

The food and drinks at this restaurant were excellent, especially considering its proximity to the Travelodge hotel. One key factor for us was how close it was to the train station, only a 5 minute walk away. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food at this pub, particularly the variety of fish dishes available. We didn't actually stay at the hotel as we didn't realize it was also an accommodation option, but we definitely plan to next time.

This pub has a great atmosphere, but I was extremely disappointed by the quality of their Guinness. It was shockingly bad, especially considering it is an Irish pub. I would not recommend going there if you are expecting a good pint of Guinness. It was truly terrible.

Great staff, friendly atmosphere. Great big full english breakfast, served with a smile. Orange juice outstanding! Realy good ale and beer, good food in the evening. Realy well worth a wisite! Enjoy!
