Eastwood BBQ Restaurant

Our first trip to Eastwood in quite awhile and this proved to be an enjoyable find. Comfy booth tables and good aircon were both welcome on a warm New Year's Day. Pleasantly surprised by the menu selection and pricing; some nice house specials and a good variety of old standards. Three Cup Chicken delivered a spicy and chilli punch and the Sweet and Sour Pork was the best we've had in Sydney. Fried rice servings were generous and soft drinks, well made and icy cold. Friendly and informal service from a busy team, created a good family friendly dining experience. Keen to head back soon, in the full and certain knowledge that we'll order the sweet and sour again!

The operator has revamped the place into a Shanghaiese restaurant setup. It's quite refreshing in terms of renovation and style. You will be either provided with Chinese tea or plain water to start with, depending on your age and race, probably. Price was reasonable. New restaurant is called A taste of Shanghai.

New management has taken over. Menu has also changed too and it's the style of cooking matters most. No more HK cafe taste but shifting towards China Chinese. The interior has not much changed but apparently got less crowded during lunch hours.

Tastes like authentic Cantonese food at very affordable prices with big servings
