El Caracol Del Bierzo

After spending the morning exploring the old Roman gold mines, our expectations of what’s more to see/do in the region was raised higher. Our friends promised this place would please our appetite. The excitement grew when we pulled into the farm nearby. It was a bit of an adventure getting to the dinning area; as we walked across the irrigation over wooden planks, then climbed up a small dirt path.. then we saw the farm for the snails. It was my first time to enjoy escargot. The entire meal was a joyful experience. Every dish was fresh and flavorful, and presented beautifully. Definitely a place to visit when you’re lucky enough to make it to Leon, Spain.

No estábamos seguros de entrar pero al final decidimos comer aquí, en la terraza se estaba a gusto, terraza amplia aunq echamos de menos las sombrillas, muy recomendables los calsots , los pimientos ricos y la butifarra espectacular ..la atención bien, al principio rápidos, pero luego x problemas de saturación muy lentos,no es normal tan pocos camareros un domingo con buen tiempo... tardaron más en que servirnos el café que en comer. Pero sigo pensando que todo es x la escasez de personal

We just got out of the place and we were surprised, it was a good one. The croquettes and the octopus were very good. We were on the way, so we just asked for that. Pets are allowed on the terrace. the very nice waitress and although the service was a bit slow they apologized to us. the terrace is very cozy, there were plenty of people but a lot of distance between the tables.

quality of food: half service: bad, very slow and as they do not admit card, and as you have not expected anything, leave the diners waiting and go find a cashier at night. Now, I know that there are news signs, which is not that I read them, it is that I don't look at them for cutres, even to pay for the bread they make things easier for you. Anyway, bad.

Estuvimos a medio día comiendo el menú: muy adecuado al precio que tiene, con buena variedad de platos. El ambiente agradable en la terraza, y el personal muy amable, aunque tardaron algo en servirnos. Creo que porque fuimos bastante tarde. La comida muy rica y el postre que tomamos también (tiramisu).
