El Platanal - Reservar uma mesa

Restaurante El Platanal is located on the bustling Avenida Las Vegas in the municipality of Sabaneta south of Medellin. It is an open-air location consisting of two covered pavilions. The restaurant offers a variety of regional paisa dishes including beef, pork, chicken and fish. Appetizers like Patacon and Tortes de coco are also offered. The food is excellent and very cheap. For visiting North Americans, T-bone Steak is available for COP$ 23,000 $11 US. I did not try, but a member of my party did, and said the steak was very tasty and tender. I'm here with three other people. The menu had a good choice. I ordered the baby beef that I thought was pretty tasty. I'd like to have vegetables or something like a side for this dish. It came with tomatoes and crushed cabbage. I also ordered a page of Patacones that I also enjoyed. Service was good. The only negative was that someone in our group ordered fish and then they told her that they did not have the fish they ordered, so they ordered another type of fish and it took forever to serve her while the rest of us already had our food. I would also like to see more local desserts on the menu and not tiramisu, napoleon, etc.
