One of the better Mexican restaurants in Los Angeles in my opinion. I moved here from San Diego, where I grew up, a few years ago so it?s been really hard to find Mexican food that?s as good up here but this is one of the few restaurants that I enjoy coming to. It?s out of the way for me over in East LA in a residential neighborhood but it?s worth a stop especially when I am coming from east into town. The burritos still don?t taste like home to me so I don?t order those but the plates are really delicious, the portion sizes are really generous, and the food quality is there. They also have a parking lot with about 10 spaces attached next door and street parking is easier here in East LA com...

If you re something like me and wasn't here in a while, time is coming back. It was years since I was here, but the food is as delicious as I came in the 90s. The Hollenbeck burrito (mini) still amazing with not only salsa, but lump pork, or your choice of meat? the dinner plates are also great. The Chili Relleno plate is deliciously served with rice beans that are lubricated in cheese and the choice of corn or flour tortillas. All this under $25 for two, a true schnapps in today's economy.

I enjoyed El Tepeyac Cafe or Manuel, as we call it after the founder. I was introduced to this classic Mexican restaurant in East Los Angeles, while in high school in the 70s. For 50 years, have I been bringing family and friends? Favourites are the Hollenbeck Burrito and the Taquitos. It's always great to see my friend Jerry in the kitchen still cooking this fabulous food after all these years. This is a must for me every time I visit LA!

Can never go wrong choice to eat here!!! Arrived in LA for a work trip, met with an employee at the airport and the first destination from the airport was El Tepeyac Cafe. The service and food were excellent as it was at my last visit in 2021. I have the mini-original, but my staff went bigger. What a fantastic authentic place to eat! Reserve uma mesa agora

Mother?s Day ritual. Huevos Rancheros and The Original Hollenbeck are always on the check. Nothing short of delicious. Capacity is low. Friendly vibe, pretty sure same people are at the counter every time I go. First time I came here was 1993, the only thing that changes is price. Not pictured, chips and salsa.

Still as delicious as it was when I was growing up in the area. While visiting this past weekend I had to stop and have a mini hollenbeck burrito. It was so good. Definitely a must when visiting LA.

Yelp 100 2017 Challenge 76/100 I have tried here once: the food, service, and parking are solid. Additionally, the serving size is enormous, so the prices

El Tepeyac is the real deal: a neighborhood Mexican restaurant in a neighborhood that continues to be inhabited primarily by Mexican folks. Reserve uma mesa agora

Food is delicious and portions are generous. The one star goes for the BAD phone service I received this afternoon.
