I have been going here over 20yrs... its under new management... Nothings changed... Prices are down to earth. This is a neighborhood eatery people come home from work looking to get something to eat. It not fancy on the inside.. or gentrified restaurant. What makes up for it is the home style Cuban food. I had the picadillo with white rice. My friends has grilled steak w/ onions. white rice and yuka. mango shakes. Bill was around $45 I went this past Father's day and all the other restaurants I went had lines out side.. so I drove a little bit further..

The five stars are for the food and the prices. Really can?t be beat. Under $5 for a fantastic Cuban sandwich and $1.50 for a small Cuban coffee. Could be cleaner and updated inside but thats not what this place is trying to be. Its like an old school diner inside. Great cheap breakfast, lunch or dinner. Daily specials and most meats are slow cooked. The added photo gives one an idea of how many sandwiches have been cut in half over the years. There are lots of Cuban sandwiches in UC. I think this one is the best.

We ordered Rice , Beans and Pork. The pork was raw and the beans had no flavor. The other order was Rice , Beans , Steak Shrimp. The steak was flavorful but it was sooo thin that I could have cut myself with it like a papercut. I don't mind paying a little more to get better quality food. The waitress wasn't too pleasant and no greeting or smile and no Thank You. Only a $3 tip

Pretty simple restaurant with good food , huge portions and very convenient prices. Definitely my go to spot for a lunch when I?m around the area . Atmosphere is very simple , environment is clean and staff is quick .

I?ve been coming here since I was a little girl. The owners were different but the food was always great and for the price you can?t beat it. I recommend this spot.
