El Villano - Reservar uma mesa

The waiter/bartender was very rude. He slapped our wine down on the table, slapped our silverware down, our glasses, our plates, and basically just wasn't in the mood for any of it. I must say, though, we were able to eat earlier in the evening (dinner at 6pm on the Camino was unusual), and the lovely little terrier who went from table to table for scratches was adorable.

On a busy fiesta Sunday the people in this bar restaurant could not have done more to find us a table and make sure we were well fed and watered. Everyone else in the restaurant was Spanish and we were 2 brits walking the Camino. A 3 course meal with wine,water and bread for 9€ each can't be bad.

We had bad service and bad good. The paella was heatet in The microwave and not hot. The fisk was just a big piece of fisk swimming in some undefinied juice and oil. The waiter had absolut NO manners. I do not recommend.

Do not go down that street. He does not eat in it. There are better things to see and do in Viana. Eat torreznos in the 'Bar San Juan ' in the square, a beer and a sandwich, better, and above are kind.

So it was ok. Food was just about fine but during fiesta it felt as though we were being a bit pushed aside. Price was fine and staff a bit surly. Not in a hurry to go back.
