Ely Winebar - Reservar uma mesa

For some reason I'm more familiar with Ely Wine Bar and Brasserie in the IFSC than Ely Wine Bar on Ely Place. We both follow each other on Twitter and Instagram and their photos are always drool worthy. A couple of nights ago I attended an event at Ely Bar. From the food, wine and service we received there I'm really looking forward to returning with my hubby for a date night. I had dinner here with my family recently and I must say that we were very disappointed. the service was extremely slow, we were in the restaurant over 3 hours for 3 courses. the standard of food for the price was really not good. my steak was cooked nicely, but my starter and my desert were really not enjoyable. I have the chocolate fond for the desert and it was not soft in the middle was more like a brownie with chic sauce over it. I also asked if I could be served ice cream with him and they charged me extra for it, I thought it would be quite small if our whole bill came to almost 900euro! with such other fine restaurants in dublin I can certainly say that I will not be back!

oh, this place is beautiful and the personal is simply wonderful. it is really cooled and relaxed, but they can also come here for a special start or after work contracts. the weeping list is huge and of course they also have bubbly witnesses, but it's that eating here that I love. the tapas style bar menu is great. something for everyone. sweet or spicy, fresh or fried, healthy or feck diet. I can't remember the names of the dishes we had, but we tried a lot of menu and there was no thing we wouldn't order again. look at the photos to see how good the food looks and believe me when I say it tastes better than it looked!

I came back for a work dinner one night. at the arrival we were kindly greeted by one of the nice staff and we were told we could choose where would like to sit we were then given menus and told about the specialties of the day. I choose the soup and chicken sandwich. we received our food very fast and it was extremely filling and tasty the resturant was very good when we visited as it was on a Monday afternoon, but still a nice atmosphere.

the best feature of this place is the wine list. also the restaurant is beautiful, beautiful atmosphere. eating is okay. it's a little expensive. the bar above is also beautiful, busy for afterwork drinks, a good alternative to the usual pubs.
