at the beginning I must say that in my years, living in the Swiss, that my best meal is still! I stole my foreign friends for the cursor menu (dinner) and we were blown away. the creative knee of the Spanish chef Rafa...Martinez is really a gift and the beautiful presentation of the dishes a real sight to see! the owner sandra santos offered a great hospitality and did her best to translate in English the complex menu (cook martinez does not speak English). for its excellent service, its funny reparte and great humor, which has contributed immensely to the pleasure of the whole evening, must be given a special mention to the waiter rogerio guoveia. high points were the otopus, purple potato...

I ate here as it was conveniently close to the hotel and office I was visiting for my week stay in Horw. The food (especially the pizzas) was phenomenal and extremely tasty I had fish, three different pizzas and veggies as well (dont worry...these were in five separate days, not all in one day- I'm not THAT obese). Everything was prepared extremely well and it came out extremely quickly. What impressed me the most was how friendly the entire staff was and how accommodating they were to help with my language issues on some meals and helped explain everything to me, all with a smile. Also, the value/pricing of everything was THE best of all locations I ate out in the entirety of my days here....

enzian under rafa martinez is probably on a Michelin star level. it is by far the best eating in the lucern area (and in most unlikely all places in horw). take this from a Dane with a lot of culinary experience of top places in kopenhagen, ny and london and most of the top places in luzern has eaten. take the cure menu. it is innovatiw, dared and different as they rarely see here. without being overloaded or deliberate. Just go.
