Hidden Gem. This place was recommended by a expat who works in Los Cristianos. At first the place looks very small and a little out the way but as soon as you arrive the experience is amazing. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is amazing. It’s authentic Spanish food and the quality and flavours are amazing. I’d highly recommend this place and it’s far better than the tacky nonsense you get on the promenade selling cheap tapas straight out of a freezer….enjoy this gem

Escondite , a pretty literal translation of Hideaway and it ISN’T an English restaurant Pure old school Canarian Menu on a blackboard in English and Spanish and that’s it The boss man is a real old style “mein host”. Always welcomes you, always remembers you, brings the bill asking if everything was ok then gives you a great “Adios” Can’t wait til the next time !!

Lovely traditional restaurant, good variety of tapas. Rustic tapas. We tried 12 dishes all were good quality. Service very pleasant. Reasonably priced! Date and bacon bites are a definite must have for your visit. Will be a regular visit in the future.

Stumbled on this restaurant attracted by the buzz and large number of customers. They found us a table. Large choice of tapas and daily specials all freshly made and quickly served. We will be back.

Proper tapas, a great variety of dishes, best tapas we had by far. Fresh ingredients. Perfect for lunch. It does get busy so either book or get there early.
