Essex Street Grill

The first time Essex Street tried barbecue and was not impressed. We went on Tuesday night and our waitress had no personality. We told her it was our first time and there was no expression on her face. A warm?Welcome? would have been nice together with some menu suggestions. No. Stein has set himself up. A friend we ordered a margarita and sent her back. The waitress seemed upset instead of apologetic. I tried to taste it terrible. My friend was super nice about it, and this woman hasn't yet softened? Our other drinks from the bar were just fine. The food and the service here were excellent! The Tuna was probably one of the best I’ve had in the area! Everything came out pretty quickly but we didn’t feel rushed given the time restrictions applied in most restaurants at the moment. The Drink I got was called ‘Coconut Dream’ I believe and was exactly that! The dessert however, was pretty bland. It was more fitting for kids, something you’d serve at a bday party. But that came from an outside baker so that’s a different story. Definitely somewhere I’ll come back to if I’m in the area again.

My husband and I came here wanting good food, good vibes, and good conversation we got it all. Even though this place has a bar, the music was at such a perfect level that we could enjoy it (yes, 90?s pop! while still able to comfortably have a conversation without competing with the volume. The food was excellent hubby had the salmon and I had the season special, butternut squash ravioli. YUM. We also had a Caesar salad and the Caprese. Very generous portions, quality ingredients, and a moody atmosphere. Can?t wait to come back!

It was great it was so good i forgot to get a starting pic. The seafood platter was excellent. My coworker loved the salmon and said the rice qithit was amazing. The appatizor they brought out was a bean dip i really liked.

My wife and I absolutely love the Essex Street Grille. Excellent food, reasonable prices, great service. I only wish it was open 7 days a week.
