Quite possibly the worst dining experience my family and I have ever had. We booked in for this past Sunday, to celebrate my grandmother 's 80th birthday. We arrived to find they had not only booked in our large group, but another large function, as well as three general public tables. The other function was set up in the function room, so we were squeezed in with the poor general public tables. The pizza oven and tap beer were also broken. This should have been our first warning. Drinks came out quickly enough, though some people had to chase up their orders. We were also confused as to why you put ice in all the beers? No one requested it, nor were we given the option to refuse ice. After...
Was expecting a much better place.... Ordered food, and although small servings was to be expected good presentation but the cooking wasn 't great raw lamb, Also a medium/well done steak was too rare to eat spent too much time making it look nice and not enough time actually cooking the meat! Especially when asking for a medium/well done , and then to get something so rare was very disappointing. As well as the TOTALLY REDICULOUS prices for wine.... Cheapest bottle was $50 ... up to over $300 a bottle... Just crazy. My recommendation... FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE !! Plenty of other restaurants in the Yarra Valley.... :
eating was absolutely delicious! service was excellent, restaurant was comfortable, very clean, neat and a great atmosphere. if I had to give some kind of critism, it would be that id something more interesting to look outside the window, and not people who visit the pizza the next day, although we enjoy people who watch thanks for a nice night. we're coming back!
