Fernandez The Bull Cuban Grill

Such a wonderful find! We found this place by happy accident after traveling all day. The Cuban sandwiches are huge and perfect. The tamal was homemade and so good that we ordered a second. We made it a point to stop again for lunch before flying home. Ropa vieja was so satisfying with the plantains. Cuban coffee is available and is fantastic. I?ll be craving this hidden gem in days to come. Bonus It?s a family owned and operated establishment. Cocktails and beersavailable as well.

While in Key Largo we wanted to try something different chose Cuban food. Since we had never had it our waitress suggested Fernandez Sandwich beans with yellow rice. It was delicious! A mild pulled pork with shaved ham cheese on a pressed grilled toasted bread. The black beans were awesome seasoned perfectly! It was a great experience!

The food was amazing and the portions were more than enough. My wife made her own platter of white rice, black beans, and fried fish. I had the traditional Cuban. We also had chicken mini empanadas. I recommend another sauce if you order the fish. The cilantro garlic sauce was too strong for it.

Hands down one of the best Cuban sandwiches I?ve ever eaten. The staff are super friendly and attentive to their customers. If we ever are in the keys again will definitely stop by Fernando?s and grab a Cuban! Thanks guys for a wonderful dining experience!

First time eating authentic Cuban food. Food was great. The taste and flavor was excellent.
