Firenze Lugano - Reservar uma mesa

We have been traveling for the past several weeks and had our best meal of the trip at this hidden gem. We had one of the house specialties: chicken tagine, and wow! An explosion of tastes and textures that were utterly unique. We also had a fish entree equally exquisite but with an entirely different flavor profile. The service was warm, friendly, and helpful. Fortunately, we came on an evening that wasn’t too busy, so had a lovely conversation with Chef Lulù about her very creative ideas for integrating local ingredients (like venison! into the dishes served. Highly recommend this place!

Me and my friend went to eat there and everything went well. I thought that it was really good food, till I felt nauseous. It got so bad that I had to throw up a few hours later. That’s because I ate the spaghetti with mussels. It had to be the mussels because my friend ate the same stuff except for the spaghetti and she was perfectly fine. I felt instantly better after I vomited so it was also not sickness. I don’t recommend going there unless you want your day to be ruined. I’m sorry if that’s a bit harsh but it’s the truth!

The service was slow, it took over an hour to get our main course. Thankfully we had ordered a salad to share which turned out to be served on a very nice bread bowl. However it was down hill from there. I ordered the risotto and it was so salty I couldn't eat more than half, the taste was so overwhelming. We decided to mention the fact to the staff, but no discount or extra something was offered. In the end I'm very disappointed (and still hungry...

My wife and I ate at La Firenze this evening. We avoided the pizza because of the bad reviews on TripAdvisor. Instead, we had the fondue appetizer and the baked cod. The fondue was pretty tasty, but it really wasn't a fondue at all. The cod was very bland. We were disappointed in our meal.

It was a pleasure to stay in this hotel. It is easy to arrive to the hotel, the stuff are friendly, the food are realy good, our room was clean with a private exit and the terrace with a great view on the lake. Good hotel for a honest price.
