Great place to eat. They have music bingo which is a great hit with the customers. The owners are super nice and have a great catering business. All meals are definitely handmade and delicious. The service was amazing. I had the spinach artichoke dip and a french dip and swiss. The dip was really good but very oily. The French dip had more of a low grade skirt steak strips than roast beef and was terrible, absolutely no flavor. Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Other bars in Altoona tend to cater to drunks and undesirables. Fireside is a nice calm pub atmosphere.
