Fischrestaurant Waterblick

My partner treated me to a birthday dinner at this nicely situated reastaurant, overlooking the "Achterwasser", a big inlet of the Baltic Sea, typical for this coast. We had a platter of local specialities for starter, very hearty and fresh. Despite being sensible people, we ate all of it, knowing that we might not be able to finish our respective main courses. My fish dish was perfect, as was my partner's meat equivalent. Service was friendly and professional and the whole atmosphere in the restaurant felt very positive. We were traveling with German friends or would probably never have found this place. You don't get to Loddin unless you really want to be there! However, the service was extremely friendly. Since we all spoke German, it would be hard to say if they would speak any English. The menu had a good assortment of local fish dishes, and the beer and wine was excellent. Since we were really out in the country-side, the prices were very reasonable. Since we did not have a reservation (and were not locals), we had a table without a view up next to the bar. However, you could see that the views of the Baltic from most of the tables were excellent. I would certainly go back there if I am ever on Usedom I...

We went to the family dinner after Waterblick and thought the food was excellent when you love fish. The meals are simple, not overloaded and it is all about the fish (the waitress brought to pieces of fish on the table, I asked if the...whoe the fresh fish that she reacted quite firmly to that all fish was fresh! At the beginning we had the pomeranian plate (if you want not only fish, but also the fish Carpaccio and the cold smoke salmon. It's great. For the main thing we went for the cod.

The meals are simple, not overloaded and it is all about the fish (the waitress brought to pieces of fish to the table, I asked if those were the fresh fish - she rather firmly responded that all fish was fresh!).To start, we had the "Pommernteller" (if you don't just want fish) as well as the fish carpaccio and the cold smoked salmon. All excellent. For the main, we went for the cod.

Very good fresh fish restaurant with fish specialities and a beautiful view, it's better to make a reservation for a good view to the Baltic; very friendly service; here you not will disappointed.
