Franchin - Reservar uma mesa

We have dined at Franchin 6-8 times. Something was a little off last night. Our meal was good but a little less so, particularly in the appetizers and desserts. There was a very large group in the center of the restaurant, but we got our order in before they got their menus. While our appetizers came out in a reasonable time, it took more than an hour for us to get our main courses, with the table next to us, who arrived later, getting theirs first. We were not in a hurry, but something was out of synch. Hard working wait staff, but a bit remote. We will be back, but not for awhile.

This classic Parisien style brasserie has excellent food, but sadly the dining room lacked ambiance. It was very bright and looked a little sterile. The servers, though friendly, seemed a little rushed. We were not offered a drink until we had been seated for more than 10 minutes. Prices are on the high side.

Well composed tasty dishes in beautiful French bistro/resto atmosphere. Full focus on good quality products and thoughtful cooking. Pricing therefore on higher side but worth the money. We had a very pleasant Sunday lunch !

Recommend from lonely planet booklet. Good service and food quality of French food with reasonable price. The choice and test of main courses are better than starts

An attractive setting for a lovely meal, beautifully prepared, cooked and presented. Attentive service despite several problems with other customers.
