Up early walking and always look forward to our fust cup of coffee here in the morning. My only quibble is my experience this year and last of the service at the counter in the bakery: it can tend to be surly. Probably tired and...working shifts that are longer than conducive to a cheery attitude, but still. I always wish management would ensure that staff are happy about their working conditions and convey it through their attitude with customers. Tousrists as well as locals.The staff in the restaurant area were friendly and helpful for the most part. On the food side, the punsch kugel was yummy as well as their almond cookies. My wife and I were visiting this beautiful village in Engadin, when the hunger struck we headed for restaurant Grond Engadin. We ordered soups, pasta and burger. The next minute complementary bites were served. more minutes passed and we were served with the full...order. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and worth every single francs. The staff was nice and multilingual and the service was quick. Highly recommended!

We walked round the peninsular by the lake near Sils and this cafe was a haven to dry out a bit . The coffees were excellent and our table had a reasonable view . The pleasant waitress insisted we had to get pastry products from...the bakery and would not get them which surprised me

Stopped for afternoon snack of apple strudel and coffee. Strudel was ok, vanilla sauce curdled and tasted like eggs with artificial vanilla. Cost chf for just the strudel while the Edelweiss has a better strudel and coffee for Not impressed.

We enjoyed the Creme Schnitten, lovely decorated and exquisite flavour. We go there alone to enjoy this lovely pastry.
