Fuxia - Reservar uma mesa

Looked like a nice place from the outside and as we were very hungry we also fell into the same trap that many others who have revieved this place. Ordered three pasta dishes, out of which one was coldish. Commented this to the staff who immediately took the portion away only to bring it back after one minute. The dish had clearly been heated in the micro. We ate it anyways as were super hungry. When we asked for the bill I commented very nicely that I do hope you will not charge full price for the microwave heated dish. She looked at me stunned. We chose this restaurant on our walk home from Luxembourg Gardens as it seemed popular with every table taken outside but plenty of availability inside. Bad decision!! When i asked the waitress on cashier (or rather tried to interrupt her whilst she was playing with mobile phone as she simply ignored me and pretended i wasn't standing directly in front of her) if we could get a table for dinner she was so rude. If we didn't have 4 hungry kids i would have walked out and found somewhere else but we were desperate to get some food into them. We had to seat ourselves, then get our own menus. Coming from Canada and from the food service industry I am shocked watching these young and unsupervised children running the show. We were seated for 15 minutes before I got up and walked into the empty restaurant to ask if I can place my order, and the waitress responded I didn’t know you were ready to order yet. LMFAO. Dirty tables taking drinks to wrong tables, and this is before our mains arrive. Waiter spent ten minutes flirting with two girls, and so on. The servers are dressed as slobs. The brunette is more worried about how her hair looks and is constantly touching it. We are on holidays so I don’t care, just an observation. Good luck. It's just across thé street from Luxembourg Garden's Medici fountain. Ate here last year with family at that time all agreed it was the best Italian food in Paris. My husband and I returned to Paris this year and we find it has not changed!! I had the vegetarian lasagna my husband the beef. It was the BEST lasagna we have had for a long time. Just left Florence this topped any of the red sauces we had in Florence! Although we walked in too late for lunch and too early for dinner we were welcomed warmly. I would like to point out that the setting was impeccable, the outdoor setting was wonderful, the food spot on-delicious, the wine; simply-said; amazing! But what caught my attention the most was the professionalism, hard-working staff that despite being busy, they carried out their jobs with a smile. Hugues, the server gave some honest menu suggestions that made me feel at ease. Lastly, Valentina, the manager was an example of what a real manager should be; fair, assertive, a great listener. Definitely, Fuxia is a place to visit and wind down and dine out!
