"I was waiting at the bar for several minutes without anyone ordering drinks. Finally, when the bartender asked me what I wanted, he requested to see my ID. I didn't mind since I am 28 years old and my driver's license confirms my age. However, without scanning my ID, he then told me "not a chance" and refused to serve me. I went to the next door bar where I received a beer and gave the bartender a generous tip. The service was poor and the atmosphere was unpleasant. I will be going elsewhere for drinks in the future."

I went to a restaurant on a Friday night around 8. I stood at the bar for 20 minutes before asking the person next to me where the bartender was. He said the bartender was probably in the bathroom.
