First time visit for me, but have eaten next door at Schooners many times. My buddy Darryl and I decided to drop in after church services Sunday morning. The place was super crowded, but we were able to get seats at the counter right away. Took a good 45minutes to finally get our meals, but that was no big deal, since they were overpowered by the surge of customers. I was toldlater by one of the employees that it's this way every Sunday and Wednesday. This restaurant has been in the community for manyyears and evidently many people are very well pleased. If you are looking for something fancy you should keep on truck'n. Thisisn't a fancy steakhouse. Reminded me of the old Raedenes in Creve C...
That was a damn good food. It could have been an IHOP or truckstop, but it was Gebbys. The server was one of the most gracious and knew the menu well. I had chickens and eggs. Whoever was in the kitchen was not a sip! Perfect eggs. My buddy had a burger that was perfectly cooked and juicy. I don't really remember decor because my mouth and brain were full of food. Obviously they have land engraving with or without sausage, altho why you don't want it to be a secret. If I can hold back from the country fried steak ever (and I can probably not), I will try a burger. The pommes were crispy, excellent and each product was hot when we got it. The staff, waitress (Kim) and Bobby (Manager) were absolute tops. Every restaurant should have a Kim. Food came quickly and was very good. First time going there and will definitely be back. Everyone there seemed to know each other, and I even raninto someone I knew 20+ years ago. Felt like a small town diner. The biggest downside was the pancake tasted like it had beenmade on the same grill as something with garlic, peppers and onion. Back of house was good but may want to dedicate some grillsto specific foods.
I had a long wait, but it was worth it considering the price and quality of the food. My only complaint was that my server completely forgot half of my breakfast. While we were eating, I reminded her that I was missing a half order of biscuits and gravy. She returned 10 minutes later with the bill, which included the missing food. I asked her to remove it, and she did, but that was my only real issue. The eggs and sausage were fantastic; I just wish I could have tried more! Reserve uma mesa agora
I had a fantastic dining experience! Even though I used to live in Peoria (I now reside in Kansas City), I had never visited this restaurant until recently when I was visiting my daughter and her family. She highly recommended it. I ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich with fries and a bowl of chili, and it was delicious! Our server was excellent, and everyone was incredibly friendly. Overall, a great experience!
I visited Gebby's for the first time and was really pleased with my breakfast. I wasn't very hungry, but I decided to order a lot knowing I'd have leftovers for breakfast the next day. My selective grandson also enjoyed the meal and gave it a thumbs up, saying he would definitely come back!
