After leaving work very early on a Friday, beautiful day might I add, I decided to spend some time perusing around Cypress. I ran into newly opened Gigi 's. The dessert fiend in me squealed. That skinny heifer in my head said, girl you better go to that LA Fitness across the street!!!! But the Chunky Monkey I am wants to sample, rate, and compare every cupcake in the city! Note to self next time be mindful of the reviews....came here on a whim of wanting something sweet after eating at the shack close by. Saw some of the reviews but paid them no mind. Thought to myself how bad could these cupcakes possibly be? How can one not get something so simple as a cupcake right? Well... I was wrong. First of all there was nobody in this shop when we came in and they had very limited flavors to begin with. We went with some CAKE BALLS and the STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE and the WEDDING CAKE. My team and I have enjoyed Gigi's for the past year. The cupcakes are amazing. I love that the menu changes with the season. I'm part of their rewards program, which I wish was managed better. I get free offers through my email, but local store will not honor them because it's not connected to my phone#. Another customer behind me had the same issue. I sent a complaint to the corporate email but no response. As you can see, it hasn't stopped me from going.

My review of Gigi's is consistent with those filed by many other folks in terms of personal experience. I've found Gigi's cupcakes typically stale, salty and excessively sugary. Hence, I do not feel their cupcakes are of premium quality and one would do better buying cupcakes from H-E-B; just saying....

Hard. Dry. Stale. Flavorless. I wish I could get my $20 back. The pink carry out bag is cute; hence, my two star rating.
