Gillis Drive In - Reservar uma mesa

During the age of rock n roll and later for those of who didn't want to let go , Gillis on a Friday night in the summer was the place to be with your classic car. you could sit and have the waitresses ,on rollerskates ,delivering the food right to the window of your car. The food was your hamburgers hotdogs french fries all American kind of food are not the greatest but not the worst either after that it was frozen yogurt just to make sure you didn't go home hungry Gillis is still place to experience on the island You are in a roller skates but the waitress will bring food to your car if you flash your lights when you drive in !

Cool concept but panned out for us as ackward and messy. Perhaps if I was 25 again. Serious though; the fish and chips was awesome, the rest while retro was more ackward than anything else. Paper plates on laps,....not knowing what to do with your garbage, .. For me it was very much a ."been there, done that, don't need to do it again." I don't regret our one visit but that'll do it for me. By all means give it a go you might enjoy it.

This restaurant is a drive in like they had in the 50s and 60s. You can get curb side service or go in and be seated. It is your typical drive in fare. Fried things and milk shakes. The food is ok but does not stand out. I do find the prices to be a little high for what they are offering. It was a neat experience but I would probably not return for a second visit.

It's a cool experience to pull up to the drive-in flash your lights and be served car-side.Everything was quick and easy to understand , the staff was great. I Think this is an icon worth visiting.The actual meal is roughly middle of the road in quality. Still this its worth a stop in.

We came in for a late supper, and the food was great! Also had some ice cream it was awesome too! Quick service!
