Glasshouse Tea Room

This was one of our Covid walks from North Shields Fish Quay when you had to sit outside and we have continued to go in normal times. Northumberland Park is excellent and so is the cafe. Fruit and Cheese scones are made FRESH DAILY and are delicious the fruit scones actually have plenty of fruit in them. All their food and coffees are reasonably priced plus they have a loyalty card which can be used in any North Tyneside Council cafes. The staff are also excellent and friendly bacon sandwiches etc are also freshly made. Extortionate prices, absolutely disgraceful to be charging the majority of elderly customers and parents with young children these prices. Please bring food with you if you are planning on using this park, a picnic would be so much better. The lady serving me aswel was so rude, treated me and my two year old as if we were an inconvenience to serve. Will not be returning. It is a shame as it’s a lovely building and has so much potential to be better. Please look at your prices and maybe invest in some staff training.

Shortly before Christmas. The food was good but the service was slow. We had to wait for a table, the place does have a nice atmosphere but it was so noisy we couldn’t talk to each other. One large party of rowdy people spoiled the visit. I would go back hopefully on a quieter day.

Sadly I found the staff consistently unfriendly, as I visit the coffee shop every week. I won't visit again as I and my 4 year old son were made to feel like a nuisance. Reserve uma mesa agora

Friendly staff, comfortable surroundings and great food. Provision for sitting inside or outside, depending on the weather.

It's well situated in the park and a good selection to choose from.

Apparently they can't even warm up a small cup of milk for a baby.
