I remember a time when you used to be able to get a really good curry in this restaurant. Unfortunately, that was years ago and the quality now is not a patch on what it used to be. I don’t know if this was because of a change of management or because there’s a different chef now but whatever the reason, it’s a real pity because the Golden Curry used to be something special. Back in the good old days, each dish was distinct and had a flavour distinguishable from other curries on the menu. However, now everything I order tastes bland and comes in yellow. We have been visiting this restaurant regularly for a number of years and it has been exemplary; the service is impeccable but more importantly the food is marvellous for our palate. They always use fresh ingredients and the spices enhance rather than overpower the flavour. It is a hidden gem, although relatively small, the ambiance is really good; over the years the décor has improved and makes for a relaxed enjoyable evening compared to some of the other more overpowering noisy establishments. Not only is it good for couples but it’s really welcoming for families and the staff are particularly attentive to youngsters. The only down side is sometimes it is too quiet, it needs to be enjoyed...

Golden Curry used to be my favorite spot for Indian takeout in the area, but my recent experiences have been disappointing. I've placed two orders recently and both times I was let down. The service was quick and accurate, but the food arrived lukewarm, the samosas were barely cooked, and the lamb meat was full of gristle. I thought maybe it was just a one-time issue, so I decided to give them another chance. Unfortunately, the second takeout was even worse - the food was cold (even though I live just a 5-minute drive away), the bread and samosas were undercooked, and to top it off, the delivery driver was rude. We have been using Golden Curry for a while now and the food has always been good, we placed an order on the 21st September and it was really poor. We made a comment on Just Eat which we cannot amend, however I must say this for the Manager, they came to my house personally with a refund the following day to apologise in person for the food, now that to me gives this place a 5 star and shows they care what people think about there food. Was really wanting a nice Indian takeaway normally at another takeaway but they was closed on this occasion. Food tasteless over salty I may as well put 30 pound in the bin really disappointed money is tight as it is at the moment and a takeaway is a treat wish I never bothered. Lamb was like chewing gum Take Dahl was like water Boiled rice rather tha pilau the list continues

The rice was perfectly cooked, but the fish and potato curry, which we requested to be made spicy, was disappointing. It was overly spicy due to an abundance of raw red chili powder added without being properly cooked. The dish had more potatoes than fish. The prawn puree starter was not as flavorful as what we have had at other nearby restaurants. We will not be returning.

I absolutely adore this restaurant. It is more affordable than other Indian restaurants in the area, but the food is delicious and the portions are generous. The staff is very friendly and always willing to assist. If you haven't been yet, I highly recommend giving it a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

It is quite dark inside friendly staff pretty standard curry and quite a wide selection poppadoms and pickles are OK though the pickle selection is not great not too expensive have been a few times over the last year nothing remarkable about it. Reserve uma mesa agora

Called for a takeway. They have a temp chef which made the food unrecognisable. No flavour and totally inedible. We had to throw the food away. Called and complained. They offered a free meal next time, but honestly i wont go back.

It's pretty good, normally get the takeaway but this time eat in. Pretty much the only Indian restaurant in the area. Prices are alright some things are a bit pricey.
