Golf Links House Restuarant

We dined here recently and after reading reviews expected a great experience... unfortunately was just ok. As we were staying overnight we went to restaurant in the afternoon and requested to book a particular table. On arrival at our booked time someone else was sitting there and I did say to the guy who greeted us who just said he didn't know about our booking and we had to pick another table, not a great start. We both went with the 3 course xmas menu sounded lovely.My meal was good but my other half who is diabetic not so great. Group of 26 from Dunfermline Rambling Club stayed four nights Newcastle is a lovely seaside resort at the foot of the Mountains of Mourne Golf Links is a short walk from the centre It has comfortable rooms excellent food from an extensive menu and very friendly helpful staff Thoroughly enjoyed my stay

Good food, good portions, good service, good service very busy with locals which is always a good sign.
