Grain De Sable - Reservar uma mesa

My husband and I went to the Grain de Sable by chance, taken by the lovely day and view on the sea. I chose two entrees that were delicious--a salad of beets and a cold salmon sashimi with cucumber, carrots and other vegetables presented like linguini. My husband had the menu, with a seafood risotto to start, which he enjoyed, but which had a lot of cream. The main course was grilled swordfish, which was also served with a cream sauce. It was not a good combination--too heavy. For dessert, we shared a Barvarian cake, but it was dry and without much taste. Service was satisfactory and the room was very pleasant--light, calm and with a great view.

Our final night in St Gilles Croix de Vie and we luckily stepped inside Grain de Sable and it was amazing. We were expecting good French food offering but this was closer to Michelin than good French. Staff were top class and were aware of even a small matter of sun setting resulted in a a little cold wind but before we could even notice it the manager had cosy soft blankets for everyone outside on balcony! And the food was the best since I had Patrick Guilbaud in Dublin. This Restaurant is going places and quickly and can't wait to return in December 2019 for a Happy New Year!

A delightful evening meal on a Friday night in August. The restaurant was full mainly with French people as there aren’t many English folk here in 2020. Lovely food that you can’t cook at home a special shout out for the seafood risotto and the café gourmand but everything our table of 3 ordered was fab. We asked for advice on the wine and loved the choice we were recommended. A very special evening with a sea view and sunset.

We took friends to Grain de Sable as they'd not previously eaten there, and it didn't disappoint! A lovely lunch with great, friendly service in nice surroundings overlooking the sea and at a great price.

Delightful position overlooking the sea. The food was perfect and beautifully presented and the staff charming The fish for once, was not overcooked . We will be back in the summer.
