Grill Courtepaille

Our flight to BRU was cancelled so we got booked into IBIS airport hotel in Marignane(Marseille . We then decided to eat at the hotel since there where not many options nearby and we had a new early flight next day. We had zero expectations and had a positive experience. The service was great all the time. Waiters being very quick, friendly and attentive. Especially Kevin( Irish nice guy . It felt like they all liked to work here and it was a good enviroment. Menu seems a bit made in an office but still the poached eggs with redwine, bacon and cornichons was ok and the pork rillette with crispy warm grilled bread was nice. The entrecote was cooked too perfection, medium rare and the pork rib...

If you are looking for a steakhouse then this is not a bad place. They have quite a wide range of tasty food to choose from beef, pork, burgers, chicken/duck and fish/seafood. Their desserts were to die for. We were a group of eight and the service was a bit slow, even though we were one of the early diners for the evening. Perhaps a little on the high side when it comes to their pricing, but then it was not too far from the airport.

Our food area was closed on a Sunday so the shuttle took us over to this Restaurant. We waited for about 15 minutes to open. We ordered our food. It took some until it came to our table. The steak was quite hard my Salmon was nice until I got near the end of it and it was raw, which disappointed me because I was thoroughly enjoying it up until that point. Staff were ok. Staff at the bar of the Hotel were grumpy and unfriendly.

To be fair we turned up at the end of the lunch session. The young waiting staff were welcoming. The food is basic, but OK. The seating arrangements were interesting as the place was half empty yet everyone was crammed into one section. The food came quickly, but we waited an age for the bill.

Really good experience. The food was very good. The atmosphere is nice. The service is excellent. I recommend it for lunch
