A hidden secret as away from the main tourist hot spots hidden down a back lane.Great food off a reasonably priced menu but the joy was the wine.Made on the premises with definite skill and dedication.As we had the car the opportunity to fully load could not be missed. 2017 Reisling Kabinett Trocken E7 a bottle (silver preismunze). 2017 Spatburgunder-Rotwein-Halbtrocken E8 a bottle and a real cracker Reisling Spatlese-Halbtrocken (bronze preismunze) E9.5. Absolute steal for the quality and the noted much used watering hole for the wine trade and growers alike.Not to be missed but not open until noon.

Passing by we saw the famous coffee being served and as it was coffee time we went in to give it a go. We were shown to a seat and placed our order. When the Rudesheim Coffees were brought top us the waiter asked if we had had one before, we had not so as he went through each stage he explained to us what he was doing and told us the best way to hold the cup to drink. Despite having told people all day and continuing to do so after us as to how it's made his friendly demeanour did not waver so the experience and the coffee were both excellent.

A small place where you drop in for a glass of wine, a cofee or something to eat. They had a number of local wines by the glass and the ones we tried was very good. Located on a parellell street from Drosselgasse away from the city center.

They are very proud of their herbal brandy served in a coffee mug over sugar cubes, flamed and then filled with coffee and whipped cream. Delicious.

For one ice cream and a slice of cheesecake this was acceptable. Was put off by customers being allowed to smoke which is not in the UK
