Happy Phoenix, located near the Chapel Street shopping district, offers affordable, delicious, and generous portions of authentic Chinese cuisine. The Panda and Mongolian beef were both sweet and savory, while the squid and calamari were also recommended. Don't miss out on the fried ice cream for dessert. The service was quick and the staff were very friendly. The only downsides were the presence of MSG in some dishes and the cramped space. Overall, I fell in love with Happy Phoenix and will definitely be returning with friends to try more of their menu.

Meeting up with a friend for an early dinner, I stopped at a nearby shop to purchase a nice bottle of Riesling before we settled in at one of Happy Phoenix's laminate tables. The service was friendly and efficient, and an hour and a half later, we left feeling satisfied and content after enjoying steamed dumplings with sweet and sour sauce, satay beef, mapo tofu, and special fried rice. A classic fried ice cream dessert rounded off the meal perfectly. Thank you, Happy Phoenix! We will definitely be returning.

Local Chinese restaurant which reminds me of going out for dinner with the parents when I was young. Very western style dishes and extremely hot and fresh. Prices are fantastic and I like the food, I don’t mind fluro sweet and sour with some special fried rice local spot and if you live within walking distance go get a mid week feast. Thanks

One of my guilty pleasures and favourite places for classic takeaway Chinese. Cheap as, tastes good and can’t go past the steamed dumplings with spring onion and ginger dipping sauce and lemon chicken.

The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was outstanding, the waiter took good care of us and was very efficient. I will definitely return.
