great food and service. I feel guilty of leaving only 4 stars here, as eating and service is always excellent. caroline is always very welcoming and we love the intimacy. I'm sorry, but we have the feeling that they have to play quietly behind ground music to break the silence. we sat next to a very boring couple and inevitably listened to a conversation. it was amusing that they have resurrected their voices when they mentioned their sohn who is at uni in newcastle! This is an exquisite place. We felt like we had been invited to dinner in a beautiful Georgian house. There was room for just 3 tables so the menu is very brief with 2 choices for each course. We both made the same choices: a selection of fruits in a light lemon syrup dressing for starter, cod in a wonderful sauce with melt in the mouth potatoes dauphinoise and a side salad for main, and I had a divine chocolate mousse with mascarpone and blackberries for dessert.
