Harry's Take Away Fish & Chips

Harry's has been a staple takeaway for Burwood East. A long time favourite, Harry himself seems to have stepped back in his role while friends helped him out. In the past year or so, it's gotten even better than it used to be. Chips and batter are crisp. The flavour of the fish is delicious. Prices are good. The decor's been modernised and there's even a table with chairs outside (and possibly inside too). New to the menu is the barramundi. I've tried a number of the fish and they've all been delicious. Do not go here and we have been here a number of times to give them a go but no more !!!! We dont expect to be abused because our order cant be filled. We had rung and ordered and told they dont have 6 dim sims but , so we accepted that although why not 6 as your a fish and chip shop. My wife went to pick up and she was told we dont have spring rolls we had ordered 2. She said ok we will have 2 chicko rolls insead so clearly although we are not happy we are trying to work with them. Then only to be told that they dont have fish which we had ordered. so my wife asked why accept order and was told if your not happy go somewhere else she replied i will never be back youve just lost a regular cu...

Friendly service. Good prices. Clean and tidy establishment with modern decor. I think there are usually 2 tables with a few chairs but it's more for takeaway. I've tried and recommend fried fish, grilled fish, chips, potato cakes and Harry's special sauce burger. They also have salads, gluten free options and much more. This time I took a few photos to help people out. If you can't park on Middleborough Road in one of the two parking spots, there are side streets off Eley road, just around the corner.

If you're after gluten free fish and chips, potato cakes and dim sims head to Harry's. Beautiful crisp batter will salve your cravings if you've missed fish and chips since going gluten free. Primarily a take-away, but with a couple of tables inside if you've travelled to get there.

Harrys fish and Chips is a great value place to eat. We bought the 2 person pack. Very good value, tasty fish and chips. Enjoyed it. Dollars cheaper than others in the area.
