Harvey's Bakery Coffee Shop

Superb hidden jewel in Dover, first time there. We had BLT with home fries, and the Pork pie platter, eggs, toast, home fries, and a pastry. My companion delighted in the pork pie and there were ready made ones for sale in the entrance. The service was perfection-two people there to make sure, and the display case tempted the palate and eyes with sweets and savory items, they were busy early but we had no problem getting in and out with a promise to keep returning, everything offered sure to please. Priced around $20.00 for 2, there was coffee and tomatoe juice, and the tip was well earned. Very large inside, wouldn't know it from the outside. On a return visit for lunch I was let down with...

So I've been to the bakery a number of times, always great. Ordered a King cake for Mardi Gras, got sick and really not in any shape to go out nor would you want me in your store, lol. Called to tell them they could just give the prepaid cake away and they generously offered to freeze it for me. Picked it up a few days later, it was great. While I was there, I picked up take out from the coffee shop (Reuben and Harvey Burger) and they were excellent as well. Would def recommend. Great handicap access, no steps, bakery straight entry, coffee shop immediate right. Only downside is trying to back out of parking on Central Ave

Stopped in for my first time about two weeks ago for an early lunch. Very dimly lit, service wasn’t really great and the food was not great. I’m pretty sure they microwaved my main meal and my dessert. Nothing about the food I was given was fresh. I ordered bread pudding for dessert but it was just sponge cake. Overall pretty disappointed with the experience. Would not recommend, plenty of better options in Dover.

First time customer, 100% ordering again. I was ordering a breakfast omelette, which was good, and on a whim saw that the maple squares are famous and so I just order one to see and by god. Amazing. I thought it would be like a maple sugar type of sticky thing idk but it’s this fluffy , airy , perfect donut like square with the best maple frosting. 10/10 recommend. I have gone here recently for breakfast twice. I understand that most restaurants are short staffed but that doesn't give the right to treat your customers like dirt. I was there a few days ago for breakfast and the waitresses were the rudest and made sure u were made to feel that you were bothering them. I won't be there for breakfast or any other meal again!!

Service wasn’t great at all! I was never asked if I needed anything else, no refill on coffee and no smile on here face. I didn’t feel welcomed. But the bill was placed on the table and I wasn’t even done eating! Normally I prefer to go to traditional family owned restaurants, bakeries. But this was very disappointing. BTW … Carlene was the waitress

Not only was our lunch awesome, Dean Phillips was there, too. He is running for president as a Democrat. We spoke with him and his team. Google him for yourself. In my opinion, he is what's needed to heal our country. Harvey's was fortunate to be his host for lunch.

If you’re over 70 this place is a gem. It’s not a modern bakery, not an Italian bakery. It’s just an old person bakery. Closed on Sunday? Odd. I would think the weekend is the most profitable time for a bakery. Anytime I want a pastry it’s on Sunday. Reserve uma mesa agora
