Alsdorf  Ein Stadtteil davon ist Ofden. Vielleicht der schönste. Kommt man die weite Kurve , vorbei am Parkplatz, am Weiher, am Tierpark, den beiden Oberschulen, und sieht die Evangelische Kirche, dann sieht man auch das Haus Ofden (Keine Angst, das eben waren von der Bundesstraße mal eben nur 1000 meter. Es ist das einzige Gasthaus hier. Vereinslokal, Totenkaffee, Catering und auch Mittagstisch. Der Wirt mit seiner Frau verstehen ihr Handwerk, sind freundlich und geben sich große Mühe. Leider ist diese Gegend nicht so ausgeh- und auswärtsessenfreudig wie es woanders üblich ist.
