Hawthorne Bottle Shoppe

My husband and I stopped by for a midday snack and drinks.I don 't understand why they don 't have a wine menu. We set at the bar and asked to see the wine menu. We were told they have 1 rose, 1 sparkling, 2 whites, and 4 reds. We ordered one rose and one chardonnay, which were acceptable considered we didn 't know what we were drinking. When the check came we realized we were served cheap wines priced at $12 to $13 per bottle retail, which we paid $11 per glass.It 'll be fine if we ordered random wines at cheap restaurants or dive bars at this price for this quality, but getting wines like this at a wine shop restaurant was quite a disappointing experience.I don 't think we 'll visit again....

Went to Hawthorne Bottle Shoppe today to grab some take out beers to take to a pool party. The place was super busy and had a good selection. However, checking out took at least 15mins and they charge two other peoples credit cards before finally figuring out how to charge mine. When I got to the pool party realized they added to many drinks to my bill and it was $20 higher then it should of been. Good selection, poor organization and employee ability to service customers.

Great customer service. Excellent selection of beers and wines and the sandwiches are way better than expet. I had the roast beef sandwich and it was very tasty. They also have a wine club but I don't drink enough wine to be part of that but I do drink a lot which is why I was there. LoL. Anyway go sit on the spacious patio.

Wonderful spot for animal lovers and well beer and wine connoisseurs. Owner both beer and wine versed and space is amazing. If you happen to be there when the Te Invito food truck is present, you’ve hit the St Pete lottery

Love this bar/bottle shop! Always a great tap list, friendly staff, atmosphere is perfection. We're so lucky to have such a place in St. Pete! ?
