Herriko Etxea - Reservar uma mesa

Nice place to enjoy a good “Chuletón”. They have their own “parrilla” to cook the meat. The menu is not very broad, but you the meat is very well cooked. We shave a starter and taste the “Chuletón”. The dessert was amazing sweet “Torrija”. I’ve read that the service was not good. I do not agree at all. In my case was very good, and we have no problems at all. A perfect option if you a visiting the Zugarramurdi environment.

We park the car on the French side of the border and walk to Herriko Restaurant working up an appetite, which you certainly need. Excellent simple mostly basque cusine, grilled fish, enormous steaks. Good limited wine list. Lovely service. The owner and staff are French and the quality is obvious. Then walk it off back to the border! You can get there by car, and the village is very picturesque.

What a beautiful village, what a great time!!! The quality of this restaurant with a little terrace overlooking church, the mountain and the most beautiful little village in the heart of the Basque Country! Incredible Omelette aux Cèpes , Cote de Boeuf , Cote d 'Agneau and desserts... You have to visit the South West of France and the Basque Country...

In the middle of nowhere YOU finding a place with the best food YOU can imagine, lovely mix of flavours, Big 5* for chef And for all people working there. Friendly And delicous. Thats all i could wish for.

They didn't understand me, and I didn't understand the waiter, so they sent the Chef to take our order. I really didn't have a clue what I was got, but it turned out amazing.
