Heuriger Hans Maly

Go to Schottentor Tram Hub where you can catch the #38 Tram which will whisk you to the wine restaurants Heurigers in the Vienna Hills. (Last stop Grinzing (Schleife) leave the tram enclosure turn right and see the big green sign Maly. Very nice Heuriger gorgeous garden).I was wondering what the food would be like. It's sort of like a deli. Warm ham and pork loin and pork belly served with sauerkraut and roasted potatoes, mac and cheese served cafeteria style. They also have cold cuts so you could make a sandwich, too.Delicious wine.

We were a group of 4 and made a reservation via email after the restaurant was recommended by a friend. Contact was very friendly. We came by public transportation and took a 3 minute walk to the restaurant and were welcomed by the courteous staff. Our table was next to the 2 traditional musicians. Food and wine were perfect. Although the staff was busy with a huge christmas party we were always served within short time.The musicians played traditionell Vienna songs and gave us great joy.Sure we'll be back next times.

The first thing, aside from the basketball goal over the entrance arch, was the bathrooms outside (always convenient after traipsing around the city). We stopped for wine, brandy, and some cheese and bread. The wine was good. Brandy was like gasoline (not my cup of tea). Food was tolerable, but nothing that you would tell someone to go out of their way for.

We ate late dinner here and spent a wonderful evening. The food was tasty and delicious and so was the wine! Service was also very friendly. Atmosphere in this place is amazing. Definitely one of the most memorable evenings on our holidays!

We cam with a group for an after Christmas Market taste of a Heuriger wine and food. Service was very good and prompt and helpful. Wine was decent.
